Life Made Us Sisters, Love Made Us Friends

I spent last weekend in Colorado throwing a surprise bachelorette party and bridal shower for my sister Andrea. We had a great time! Here are some highlights:

Sporting the veil and penis tiara. Bachelorette parties are great excuses to embarrass the heck out of someone you love!

A shot for the bachelorette who NEVER drinks!

Catherine Evolving Mommy, one of my IRL best friends and my BFF Michelle, enjoying some Rio Margaritas at dinner.

Andrea's co-workers at the Piano Bar, Sing Sing

Drinking the buzz buckets from our penis straws (somewhat of a bachelorette party tradition in our group of friends).

After Andrea got embarrassed on stage and had to do the chicken dance in front of everyone she did get the requisite Sing Sing bumper sticker, front not rear application.

Eventually all the singing and dancing broke into a dance party in front of the stage. We can't pass up an opportunity to shake our booty and have some fun. I am in the purple on the left, the two guys in the middle are two of the four piano players, Michelle is in the black shirt, and Andrea is far right in the veil. Lots of fun!

And just when you thought we were getting wild, the piano players encouraged all the women to give these birthday boys a bumper sticker, rear application. We of course obliged.

The next day I was hurting. I feel so old! I didn't even drink that much but I can't hang like I used to. The next evening was my sister's bridal shower. Instead of throwing a traditional bridal shower I threw a co-ed couples shower with a casino night theme. It was a huge hit and a lot of fun!

Here is the blackjack players in action. I spent the evening at the craps table learning how to play craps. It was a lot of fun. Made me realize how much fun Vegas would be if we had some money to play with instead of being on such a tight budget.

The bride and groom, Andrea and Michael. I ordered their cake from the bakery that made hubby and my wedding cake. It was delicious!

Since I only get to see my BFF a couple times a year we had to pose for a picture.

And another picture of the sisters.

Video of Andrea getting embarrassed on stage at Sing Sing, doing the chicken dance.

I will miss all my friends and family in Colorado but luckily my sister's wedding is only 6 weeks away so I will get to see lots of family again in March. Great friends and family, great memories! Congratulations again, Andrea and Michael.

OMGOSH! That looks like such an awesome time! How fun that you took pics to remember all of the embarassing moments. LOL (my party was not recorded and for that, I'm grateful. haha)

Looking forward to meeting you at the Bloggy Bootcamp in Baltimore :)

So much fun! I adore these kinds of shindigs. Who doesn't love an excuse to use a penis straw?

That looked like fun!!! Sisters are always there for you and they're the only ones who can make fun of you and embarrass you (and vice versa, of course)!! I have a sister, too, and we've had our ups and downs like any sisters do! ^_^

Woot! woot! lol.

It is crazy that her weeding is coming up so soon. I'm so glad that man of hers is a sneaky one and thought to bring you out here!

What is a bachelorette party without a penis tiara/veil?

It looks like you guys had a lot of fun. I love the idea of a co-ed casino night!

I have two bachelorette parties to plan very soon. My best friend is getting married the last weekend of May and my brother is getting married the first weekend of June. I am in both weddings. My best friend's wedding is in Cabo. It is going to get very busy!
